This paper utilizes the analytic tool of historical comparative linguistics to explicate a more accurate and rich understanding of the ancient Kemetic ethical principle known as [mAa.t] “Ma’at” (truth, justice, reciprocity, and righteousness) by examining its lexical cognates among modern African languages.
